OUR FARM
Noel Douglas is a third generation Fijian farmer who began exporting kava in the late 1980’s to the United States.
Today with over 30 years of kava growing experience.
Our farm is located in the island of Qamea in northern Fiji, just off the coast of Taveuni. Around us, are two more islands: Matangi and Laucala.Apart from organically grown kava, we grow organic vegetables such as tomatoes, sweet potato, corn, cabbage, spinach.
There are also papaya and banana trees, and wild coconuts.
Our farm has rolling green hills are sheltered by native bush, facing the beautiful Fijian sea, and freshwater streams irrigate our crops.
With the luxury of almost 200 acres (80 ha), our kava was planted in rich virgin organic soil, full of minerals and nutrients.
OUR KAVA
Our kava is organically grown, and weeded by hand. No chemicals, pesticides etc – ever.
Planted on rich organic virgin soil and bathed by lots of sunlight, our Kava matures and grows in an absolute undisturbed pristine environment.
Different from other kavas in Fiji, the Kava in Qamea island is renowned for its high concentration of kava lactones, giving our kava a strong, yet pleasant, distinct and smooth flavour.
